HOW TO CREATE A BLOG FOR BEGINNERS

Hello friends, I discovered that the most questions on the mind of many beginners is "how do I start my own blog"? as you probably have heard from many marketers that you can only start to talk about making money online when you have a site or blog.

Don't get me wrong, I am not saying PTC, Survey, Data-entry, etc are not credible ways of making money online oh-no! but they'll only give you stipends if you know what I mean. The only way {and I stand to be corrected} to make a lump sum of money online is through affiliate marketing and with this you'll need a blog. Get it!

To really make money online, you'll need to own a blog. That's the truth! Most top internet marketers like Lisa Irby, Lynn Terry, Darren Rowse, etc are actually making the bulk of their income from their blogs.

Some of them make close to $50,000 or even more just with their blog every month. Yes! am not kidding, the facts are there as some of them display their monthly income for people to see.

The truth is, if you want quick money to do one or two things survey, PTC, Data-entry is good but if you truly want to make serious money online and quit your day job, you "gotta" get a blog because that's where the money is right now!

Having your own blog might not make you a millionaire overnight but it certainly will fetch you good income on the long-run, "if and only if" you can persevere and put in some considerable amount of work into.

Having a blog gives you the confidence that you own a business already, as you can tell your friends, relatives, associate about it. It also opens so many avenues for your online adventures. It gives you the right to promote other people's products/programs which is what we call affiliate marketing and many other things.

Starting a blog is something you should really be giving a serious consideration right now especially if you're thinking of quiting your day job and working online full-time or even part-time. You'll need a perfect excuse for quiting your day job at least telling your friends, don't waste your time doing surveys that brings peanut that cannot even foot your phone bills!

Bearing this mind, I will love to show you how to create a wordpress blog, so that you can start promoting different affiliate programs available online and be financially independent. Alright!-;)

Blogging Tips For Beginners 4

If you are yet to read the previous edition of this series, I suggest you do so, this will give you a general overview of this one. In the previous editions we have looked at how to choose a niche, set up a blog, writing content, traffic and now today we shall be concluding this blogging series by learning different ways of monetizing a blog.

5. Monetize; There are several ways of monetizing a blog irrespective of it's niche and everyday people come out with different theories and strategies of monetizing a blog but in this article I would like to emphasize on four major areas through which your blog can be turned into a cash pulling "ATM" machine.

1. Google adsense

2. CPA/CPC

3. Affiliate marketing

4. Selling ads space

1. Google adsense; Unarguably one of the easiest ways of making money online today as it is easier to set up and much more rewarding. All you need do, is to sign up for an Google adsense account and within days or weeks you are all setup to start using their services.

Afterwards, you'll be given a code, paste it in a specified place on your blog or even have a programmer do it for you. The next thing is to wait and watch your adsense revenue increase as far as people are clicking those ads! Other substitutes for adsense are the likes of kontera, chitika, infolinks, etc...To learn more in details about Google adsense click here.

2. CPA/CPC; CPA these days are still very much relevant as smart marketers makes cool cash with this programme. One advantage of this programme is that it only takes your blog visitors to perform an action on your blog for you to be paid. They don't do anything only just to click, sign up or perform any other activity and you get paid. This is very much similar to Google adsense! To learn more about CPA/CPC click here.

3. Affiliate marketing; Affiliate marketing has been making waves for a long time now. I can remember that I started with affiliate marketing when I first came online even though I wasn't doing it right.

This is a programme whereby you get a product somewhere from a marketplace{be it digital or physical} and promote it on your blog, anyway it's not that easy but that's just the basic idea of affiliate marketing. To learn more about affiliate marketing click here.

4. Selling ads space; You can also make cool money in this way especially if you're receiving huge traffic on your blog already by selling ads space to your visitors. Many established bloggers do these to make extra cash on their blog and if done properly you can actually be making a lot of money through this means than you can ever imagine!

So, that just about ends this series of "Learning the art of blogging" and I hope you have really gained a lot from this! If you any question or comments bogging your mind as regard this article, please feel free to share in the comment box below. Thanks for reading!

Blogging Tips For Beginners 3

Before we move to todays topic of discussion, I would like to say a few things about setting up a blog. Why am I bordering myself so much on this.

Well because I realized that as a prospective professional blogger you actually need to have basic knowledge of how to set up a blog even if you're not going to need it or you have someone who sets it up for you already.

You must still be able to set up your own blog without the help of anybody, this gives you the option of tweaking it to any extent you want.

The naked truth is, not all hosting sites will help you set up your blog free of charge and if they do they'll probably charge exorbitant fees which you might not be able to afford.

So first thing you need to do in order to set up a blog will be;

1. Purchase a hosting service from an hosting sites, it's better you purchase 1 year and above hosting service than monthly because the longer the years the better. Some of the sites always provide free 1 year domain name when you buy an hosting service from them.

2. Once you purchase a hosting plan, I'll use Ipage for instance because I use Ipage and they've made it so easy to install the wordpress plugin. You'll be given an account which comes with a password and username. Login with the password and username and inside your account, Look for the wordpress icon double click on it and follow some other simple steps. Simple!

3. The next thing you want to do is get a good theme whether free or premium doesn't matter as far as it is classy!

Getting a quality theme for your blog is not something you should underestimate as a blog with a great theme actually suggest that you are a professional blogger. It's gives your readers the impression that you actually know what you're doing.

The internet especially blogging is too competitive these days as there are so many established blogs as yours in the same niche. So you've got to be at your game, although something quite simple is okay but at least add some style to it!

It's always good if you have a cool theme you can tweak anytime like the background, colours, text, text-font, sidebars, header, etc without ever being a programmer or learning html at all! Fantastic isn't it?

That's not all, this theme also has powerful inbuilt Seo features. It's gives you the opportunity of optimizing all the post and pages on your blog for search engine exposure.

That theme is called "thesis". A brilliant work of Chris Pearson. Go get yours now!

Now your blog is all set up! Time to go and get traffic, just as it is commonly said that "a site without traffic is a site without life". You need to bring in life to your blog that's your readers, they are the "lifeline" of any site. They determine the success of your blogging career!

4. Traffic; Although I wouldn't want to discuss in details as there are so many ways of getting free traffic these days, all I'll do is list all the traffic opportunities that I can remember. They are;

i. Seo

ii. Submit articles to article directories

iii. Guest-posting

iv. Posting Comments

v. Press release

vi. Podcasting

vii. Rss feeds

Blogging Tips For Beginners 2

Previously we have learnt how choosing a particular niche of interest is what works best for any blogger and not just choosing a niche because other people are going for it or because there is a lot of money in it.

Most guys who have become successful today like Darren Rowse, Lisa Irby, etc are those people who see blogging not as quick money making scheme but as a way of expressing their feeling for something they are truly passionate about like sports, religion, politics, money making, photography, etc.

So you will be doing yourself a lot of harm if you are going for blogging because of the money and not for the interest you have in it. I tell you making money with blogging is not an easy meal as it could take a long time{most of the time years} to start reaping the "fruit of your labour", during this time you'll need a lot of enthusiasm to actually pull through!

We also learnt that setting up a blog is a good way of ushering in the journey of your blogging experience. Having a good blog is an understatement but having a successful blog just fits right in.

How can you have a successful blog? A successful blog in my opinion is a blog that has all the right attributes needed for success.

A successful blog must possess the following attributes;

i. A good theme or template.

ii. A well organized navigation bar which is easily accessible.

iii. A good blog must have its own domain name like .com, org, net, etc.

iv. A good blog must have it's own hosting service{not free hosting} and there are so many of them around with different hosting packages. Anyway, when it has to do with a reliable hosting service Ipage still offers the best at very affordable rates.

Setting up a blog is not difficult at all as there several hosting sites that will help you set up your blog in no time and at no extra cost! You can even set it up yourself within the hosting account given to you, all you need do is just install the wordpress blogging platform and "you are good to go".

Take note; All hosting sites that I know make use of wordpress and not blogger even though these two are the most popular blogging platform but you'll discover that all hosting sites still prefer wordpress to blogger, why? because wordpress has lots of functions which blogger doesn't have. This makes it the number one!

Now let's move to the topic of discussion which is;

3. Content; It is often said that "content is king", well this is so true in the sense of it. One of the key factors to having a successful blog is to publish not just a content but a regularly updated fresh and unique content. Most successful blogs you see around have one thing in common and that is "fresh and unique content".

They make sure their blog is regularly updated with fresh and unique articles and they also make sure their articles are not just seen scattered everywhere around the web.

Am not saying they can't write and submit to article directories for traffic and other reasons but what I mean is that they would write their articles solely for their esteemed readers!

As a professional blogger, you need something unique that makes you stand out from the crowd. An article that is neither seen in Mr As nor Mr Bs blog, this makes your readers want to "kill for your blog" and I bet it they would always come for more by visiting your site regularly.

Blogging Tips For Beginners 1

Today we shall be looking at the art of blogging, let me start by defining a blog; What is a blog? A blog formerly called weblog is simply an online journal or an online version of writing newspaper.

People blog for various reasons, maybe because they like to write or feels they have something within them they want to share with the outside world!

Now what is blogging? Blogging is the act of writing in an online way, writing about what? writing on a particular subject of interest like politics, sports, religion, internet marketing, etc...

Getting started with blogging: There are however some very important guidelines to be considered when delving into blogging. These guidelines need to be painstakingly followed if one must be a successful blogger. They are;

1. Choosing a niche

2. Setting up a blog

3. Content

4. Drive traffic

5. Monetize

1. Choosing a niche; Before setting up a blog you need to do what we call research on what best interest you. Ask within yourself "what do I really like doing during my leisure?"

To be a successful blogger, you need to be an expert in an area that is people must respect you for what you do on that particular field. Take for instance, you want to focus on "money making" which is a very popular niche. People must be able to look up to you for a professional advice as far "money making" is concerned.

In this case you must choose a niche that really catches your fancy, that is a field that you are more familiar with. It's not a good idea to go for a niche that you don't know too well or that you don't know at all!

Most beginners make mistakes of following what others are doing in a niche, just because money is being made in a particular niche doesn't mean you'll make money there! Your interest or passion should be first and money last. That's the ultimate!

This is really bad because at the end of the day, they end up struggling in such niche and making success becomes almost impossible.

So, my advice is make sure you think it through before making a choice as regards your niche because your online success actually depends on it!

2. Setting up a blog; Setting up a blog is also very vital as the success of your online endeavours depends on it. At this stage you need to garner all ICT knowledge possible! This is also the stage you decide which blogging platform is actually the best for you and your niche.

There are however two most popular blogging platforms; You are either using wordpress or blogger, anyone you choose is "good to go" for your blogging experience.

In terms of simplicity blogger is the best but in terms of sophistication wordpress is unarguably the better off.

Blogger has very simple features such that a newbie can operate while wordpress has more advanced features that adds that professional touch to a blog especially with the additions of plugins.

From experience, I tell you straight away without prejudice that as far as professional blogging is concerned wordpress is still the best option although blogger has it's own fair share of advantages but I believe blogger won't give that professional "razmatazz" when compared to wordpress.
